FT1000MP, 5W, TH6DXX, zepp, dipole, inverted vee. Wonder if we could get a definition of FP DX QSOs? I am guessing that US and Canadians are not DX for each other and don't know how to classify KH6 and KL7. I guess anything else is DX? Conditions seemed good on 20, but there was little activity. I could hear N4BP, but Bob couldn't hear me. Had QSOs with W1, 2, 3, 7, and 8 stations. Must have left 20 too early to work KH6MB or didn't call enough with the beam west. 40M was OK, with surprisingly good signals from WB0OEW in AZ. Worked, W2, 3, 4 (as close as NC), 5, 7, 8, 9 stations plus VE3HUR. 80M was very noisy and had only 3 QSOs there, all in FL. Thanks for all the QSOs and hope to work you all plus many others next Monday. Check out the QRP Fox Hunt home page for information on the summer series on 20M that starts June 30 (July 1 UTC). 73/72, John, K4BAI.
N4BP, Bob Patten, 5W fpqso=17 fpdxqso=1 nonfpqso=2 spc=19 total=1102
Highlight was working KH6MB on 20M. But that also signaled the closing of the band. Seemed like very little activity on 40M, so I hung it up after only 45 minutes.
N0JRN, Jerry, 5 fpqso=17 fpdxqso=0 nonfpqso=9 spc=13 total=780
My first piggie run for some time. Lots of QRN and those dang RTTY dude tonight. Nutten on 20 and nutten heard on 80 so I'm a single band op tonight. Lots of folks on 40 but again the noise was bout more than I could take. Thanks to all those that stopped by. Hope everyone had a good time. Ran my K2 tonight but working on another pig rig for the anniversary contest. Going to have to get on the air more cuz my code needs some help these days. LOL
Later on piggies and have a great summer. OO Jerry N0JRN

A fun time as always. It was nice to hear so many familiar calls; and it was especially nice to work W3BBO on both 40 and 80 Meters. Bob just recently completed one of the Steve Weber Dual Band'ers with both of those bands. Not much activity after about an hour and fifteen minutes, so I called it a night around 0315 UTC. Equipment was my K2, G5RV, end fed Zepp and Butternut HF9V.

Conditions sounded pretty good here tonight in rural PA. 20 meters was better, longer than expected. Running FT-817 and G5RVjr. Nice to hear many familiar calls tonight. W9ILF was the loudest oink here. This was fun. 72/73 Don oo

Icom 703 to a ground mounted vertical. I was in and out during the sprint, but Like others have said, 20M sounded great for the first hour but not a lot of activity. 40M sure seemed like a lot of QRN. I had a great time and will catch you guys on the next sprint. 73 oo.
W9NX, Kent, 5w fpqso=11 fpdxqso=0 nonfpqso=2 spc=10 total=350

This was my first Flying Pigs event in over a year. Sunday is not the best sprint night for me. I had forgotten how much fun QRP sprinting is. Thanks to all who answered my call. CU next month (I hope).
Using my K-2 with my US Navy Flameproof to a all band folded dipole.

Some pig-killen' QRN here in WNY kept me off of 80 m., 40 wasn't much better, but 20 was quieter with a few piggies heard gruntin' there. 72 & OO to all.

20 meters started well in NH. 40 was very noisy. Best DX was NU7T in NV. Thanks all. Jim W1PID

5 watts to a low endfed here..almost too much noise here to participate, but managed six..could hear several more but they couldn't pull me out. Did enjoy listening to n4bp and k4bai working thru the qrm and other chaff, though..a good lesson just listening to them...tnx till next time..Dale
AE5KM, Corey Minyard, 5w fpqso=5 fpdxqso=0 nonfpqso=1 spc=5 total=80
My first FP contest. Noisy tonight, I only have a 40m rig but it sounds like that's all that was working. Thanks to everyone who participated. I heard a few that I just couldn't quite make out, but I'm new at this and maybe I can't hear as well as some through the noise. My SW40+ got a workout. OO.

DE KD9KC - WOW - now I know why they are called FLYING PIGS! This contest is not for a SLOW CW operator. Some of these guys were really "FLYING"!!! Yeah - I know I should be able to copy CW faster, but it sure was discouraging.
20m had a lot of QSB to the east. It took me 4 CQs to get the callsign of N4BP. Once I was sure of his call I gave him a call at a speed I could copy. He came back to me like a machine gun. Between his speed and the QSB, I just spun the dial on up and worked KH6MB - who politely slowed enough for me to catch him. That was it for 20m.
40m was a bit better. N4BP was still flying, and I was still dialing past. MANY THANKS to K5GQ, K4BAI, and N0JNR for slowing enough for me to copy. AE5KM, W9ILR and W9NX were all a struggle and they never really heard me. Sorry guys - thanks for trying.
FT-817, 5 watts, American Morse Porta-Paddle, Elecraft T-1 tuner, 4:1 un-un, and a 75 ft sloper.
Not sure I'll try this contest again unless I get lots better at CW.
Mike - KD9KC.

I didn't work a lot in the FP-RFTB. Sorry folks, I was still a bit sore from the WVQP the night before. What with the combination of a fractured right arm, straight key and paper log keeping I almost started operating QLF. I'm sure it would have sounded better. I operated all CW and logged 111 contacts with 34 multipliers in the WVQP. Thanks to all the Pigs who gave me contacts and multipliers.

Completely forgot about RFTB tonight. Got done grilling burgers in the backyard, turned on the K2 on the patio just in time to hear a CQ FP on 20 meters with a little over one hour to go. Worked WA2ZBJ on 20 and K4BAI and N0JRN on 40. Head one station on 80 but couldn't make out a callsign.
