Thanks for the QSO's.

20M was open since I could hear sigs on SSB, but no CW sigs heard. 40M was quite good with no skip zone for a change. Worked K4EEK, who lives about 120 miles away. NG7Z quit his "endless CQing" just as I moved to his frequency to call him, so missed Paul and WA this time, but his signal was pretty good here. 40M seemed good to practically everywhere. K7TQ had a good signal. 80M was very noisy, but managed 10 QSOs on 80 and 31 on 40M. If participation increases and conditions cooperate, particularly with 20M propagation, I can imagine that someone will soon work the magic 50 FP QSOs in a Sprint. Please look for me and KU8E as W4AN/M in the FL QSO Party next weekend. Remember there are QRP awards to be won and activity is always good. 73/72, John, K4BAI.

What a great time! I got a little on 20M and 80M but 40M was where most of the QSO's came from. It was my best RFTB... It's great to hear some new guys and regular friends. I'll look for you all next month.

TenTec Orion at 5W to verticals on 20 and 40m, and dipole on 80m. Glad 20 is showing some signs of life, at least for a few minutes. But, the spring thunderstorm QRN has returned making copy rough on 40, and nearly impossible on 80. Managed to make 2 Q's on 80 with the help of a short beverage for receive. Skip on 40 was shorter this month. Northeast was there, but weak. Here's hoping for a quiet summer (at least QRN wise). Very 72 & OO, Dick W5TA

40M ok tonight - 20M faded early. Stations from south were strong. Others were about average. Good to hear the old regulars. K1 to G5RV. FP#1361 Nebraska

Good to be back on! 40 Meters was really active and 80 Meters wasn't all that noisy. Where was everyone on 80?
Rig was K2 to my G5RV and my End Fed Zepp. Looking forward to next month already!

Yaesu FT-950, Titan DX vertical. Well its been over 2 years and it's good to work the contest again. My last rig was blasted by lightning. Good to see K7TQ again and some others I worked in years past. No west coast stations this time. Hope to be back next month from Louisiana

Piggies were oinkin' all over the place, 40m. was a pen-full-o-pigs! A nice bacon Run! OO & 72 to all.

Had fun with 5 watts to a Hy-Gain vertical. Few contacts on 20 and 80 meters tonight. 40 meters was the best band into LA despite QSB and QRN.
AF4LQ, Mike, 3w fpqso=12 fpdxqso=0 nonfpqso=0 spc=11 total=396
Worked about an hour on and off, casual S/P, 40m only. Ran a Sierra at 3w's to a short doublet at 25'. Thanks to W5TM, K4BAI, W2LJ, KB9BVN, W9ILF, WA8THK, N0OR, KA2KGP, W5TA, AB9CA, W0PQ, and K3NG for the Q's and fun.
K7TQ, Randy Foltz, 5w fpqso=11 fpdxqso=0 nonfpqso=0 spc=11 total=363
Good to be back in the Run and work fellow piggies. Had only 45 minutes but 40 m seemed open nicely. Hope to put in the full 2 hours in May.

Had a good time; it's been awhile since I did a Run for the Bacon. 72 es oo! Goody

I used my K2 at 5 watts, stil having trouble with the tuner in my PFR-3. Used my camping 40 meter vee with balanced feedline, so no 80 meters this time. Operated from the backyard patio this month, perfect weather. Hung in there until the end listening for the west coast, but never heard anybody west of TX or OK. This was my best RTFB yet.
WA9VEE, Wayne, 5W fpqso=9 fpdxqso=0 nonfpqso=0 spc=9 total=243
Heard many folks, but QRN and QSB conspired to not quite make it. Fun as usual.

Rig here is Elecraft K2 to 20 mtr edz at 40 ft...
40 meters yielded most of the contacts but seemed to
shut down about 02:15Z for some reason.
Be back next month, maybe bands will be better....

I fired up the kx1 tonight. Was in and out during the run but managed to catch a few good ones on 40m. It has been awhile. Three oinks for better band condx.
AC6NN, Craig, 5 W fpqso=8 fpdxqso=0 nonfpqso=0 spc=7 total=168
Was a pretty good night for me. Worked the "middle" hour and hear quite a few folks out there, mostly on 40. Tried 80, but with the QRN my ears were begging for mercy! Until next month. 73 es OO.
WA3ZBJ, Don, 5 w. fpqso=8 fpdxqso=0 nonfpqso=0 spc=7 total=168
No 80 meter capability here with condo commandos lurking in the bushes but nice to hear so many familiar calls on 40 meters tonight.
The best signals tonight came from K4BAI & WA8THK. Nice to work Larry (W2LJ). Great way to spend an hour! oo

The start is too early for 40M and too late for 20M. Here on the west coast, the RFTB is a run into a wall. But I did manage to work 4 piggies anyway. Got tired of endless cq'ing so hung it up at 0145 and watched an episode of Miss Marple with the XYL. Next month, 20M will be more productive perhaps. I'll try again.
N9GGE, John, 4W MFJ fpqso=3 fpdxqso=0 nonfpqso=0 spc=3 total=27

I started on 20M and found no piggies there. At 01:30Z I moved to 40M where I found Paul, NG7Z, Randy, K7TQ and Mike, K7ULS. Thank you gentlemen for the QSO's. 73's to all, and to all a good night. Bert, K6CSL

Too much noise at my location in Va. Only 2 QSOs on 20, both in La and 1 on 80 (NH). Did not hear anything on 40. Be back next month to try again!

Hopefully next month piggies.
